Jardinera Stitches is the home of embroidery kits inspired by my garden and the beautiful Worcestershire countryside (“jardinera” means “gardener” in Spanish). My embroidery designs are contemporary, bold and colourful, created with a few simple stitches and some beautiful thread, so everyone from beginners to pros can enjoy them.
I’m a self-taught embroidery artist, whose craftiness has been passed down to me through my family. I first learned to knit thanks to my nan, a prolific knitter whose needles you could hear clicking she was that fast! Then my love of creativity was inspired by my mom (an accomplished embroidery tutor in her own right) thanks to many childhood visits to museums and galleries and summer holiday sketching sessions.
To me, nature and creativity are very healing – my mind goes quiet when I’m absorbed in them and they always boost my mood. They have helped me through some dark times. Through nature-inspired designs and slow stitching, my hope for Jardinera Stitches is that it helps people find their own little sanctuary.
