This action will result in your account/store being immediately terminating, without warning or refund.

The Agreement does not transfer from Us to you any of Ours or third party intellectual property, and all right, title, and interest in and to such property will remain (as between the parties) solely with and its licencors.

If you use any Third Party Services, you understand that:

Behaviour for both Customers & Sellers

You are not permitted to use The Silk Purse Guild, or associated social media outlets, for any illegal or unauthorised purpose. By using the facilities offered by The Silk Purse Guild LTD, you agree to abide by all laws, both foreign and domestic.

By using services provided by The Silk Purse Guild, in any capacity, you agree not to threaten, intimidate, harass or bully any other individual, either member or customer. This behaviour will result in immediate blacklisting or account removal. Should you behave in this manner as a seller, your store and account will be terminated.

You are solely responsible to your own content creation, and you are expected to keep this relevant and up to date at all times.

The Silk Purse Guild will hold you responsible for your actions, whilst using this site and it’s services. If you are a seller with staff, their actions will be yours by association.

You must not attempt to “hack” or modify this site in any way. 

You must not spam anyone under the guise of The Silk Purse Guild LTD. You agree to abide by all legislation related to GBPR and spam, as either a customer or a seller.

This site is closely monitored by Webarx, and any hacking, coding, or other tech related crimes will be reported to the relevant authorise. We will prosecute to the full extent of the law. 

You must not post, list or upload false or misleading information, in any format. This includes your personal details.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to all or any part of our Services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective immediately.

If you wish to terminate the Agreement or your account, you may simply discontinue using our Services.

Refund Policy

Our vendors may, but are under no obligation to, honour requests for refunds for the following reasons:

Non-delivery of the product: Due to an issue with the mail or courier service, you do not receive a delivery e-mail from us. Depending on the price of the product, may require you to first submit proof that you have submitted a report to the mail service or courier company describing the missing item;

Product not-as-described: A request based on this reason is addressed on a case-by-case basis and subject to our approval. The Silk Purse Guild aims to make it easy for sellers to comply with this legislation and consumer law, however, all compliance is the responsibility of the seller.

Sellers must post items purchased within three (3) working days of receiving payment. The only time that this could be waived is when the seller has clearly listed a lead time, with regards to custom, made to order products.

All items must be received by your customer within 30 days of purchase, unless you’ve agreed on a longer processing and delivery time, in writing with your customer. Emails count as written confirmation in this instance.

As a Silk Purse Guild seller, you allow The Silk Purse Guild the right to re-use, edit, modify, re-purpose and re-publish the content that YOU the seller add to our website. By uploading or adding content to the Silk Purse Guild or any of our related social media sites, you retain the rights to all such content, whilst providing The Silk Purse Guild with special license to use this content, both online and offline.

As a Silk Purse Guild seller, you agree to sell only Handmade products and nothing made via mass production methods. All products must be of your own design and awesome sauce 😉

You are not permitted to sell any goods that breach UK regulations, especially drugs, alcohol or tobacco. Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring that they (and their business) are not breaching laws or regulations, by listing their items for sale. Digital Goods

By using silkpurseguild.com you agree to never sell digital goods via any form of automatic download link. You take full responsibility for all tax and regulation, with regards to digital products. We do not facilitate automatic downloads anywhere on our site.

Buying

You must pay for items purchased by you, at the time of check out. You and you alone are liable for paying the seller if you commit to buy an item.

Detailed Returns Policy

As a Silk Purse Guild seller, you agree that the customer has a right to terminate the contract and return the item even if the item is not faulty in any way (this is clearly detailed in the consumer’s right act, and part of UK law). They have the right to do this up to 14 days after receipt of the items and a full refund including the cost of the outgoing postage must be made within 14 days of the seller receiving the returned item(s), or within 14 days of the buyer providing evidence that the item(s) have been returned (e.g. proof of postage), whichever is sooner.

Unless the seller has stated otherwise, the buyer is responsible for paying for the cost of return postage, and the Paypal transaction fees.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.

Cancelling a transaction

The buyer must inform the seller if they wish to cancel the order and they must do this in writing. Emails count as written confirmation, in this instance. Sellers must provide a full refund of the cost of the item and any postage costs within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned order, or within 14 days of the buyer providing evidence that the order has been returned (e.g. proof of postage), whichever is sooner.

If the goods have not yet been sent, refunds must be provided within 14 days of receipt of the notification of cancellation.

Return of faulty goods

The consumer has a right to return goods if they develop a fault within six months of receipt of the goods. Depending on the circumstances, they may be entitled to a refund (full or partial), a repair or replacement.
