Made entirely from fused glass frit and powders, with vitrigraph stringers and murrini, this aquatic scene is absolutely unique as a result of the way it is created.
First, a bed of glass chips are fired to over 800⁰C for eight hours, to give the graduated blue background. Vitrigraph stringer and murrini are added, with more glass chips, and fish made from glass powders which have been frozen and then fired to a solid finish.
The whole thing goes back in the kiln for a longer, but lower firing, resulting in a sculpture full of texture.
Supplied with a red cedar clamp stand for easy display on any flat surface
