Black Onyx and copper necklace with a beautiful, genuine, red Murano glass heart pendant.
Onyx is a member of the Quartz family.
It is seen as a stone of protection, absorbing negative energy.
Copper is the traditional gift for the seventh wedding anniversary.
The necklace fastens with a pure copper toggle clasp.
This necklace measures approximately 45.5cm (18 inches), excluding the pendant, which has a 5cm (2 inch) drop.

I have made this striking necklace using a mix of 4mm and 6mm polished, frosted and faceted black Onyx beads contrasted with 3x10mm tubes and 3mm round beads of pure copper.
As a stunning centrepiece, I have made a pendant from a beautiful, genuine red Murano glass 14mm rubino gold foil heart, topped with pure copper beads and hung by a pure copper, decorated bail.
Murano glass beads are crafted by hand on the island of Murano, 3km north of Venice, and are also known as Venetian glass.
Heated glass is hand shaped, then rolled in pure gold foil while still soft until entirely coated.
Coloured glass – in this case the colour is ‘rubino’ or ruby – is added and shaped around the gold foil centre to form this heart shaped bead.
The result is vibrant, layered and truly unique – no two beads are ever identical.
